Despite Tamim Iqbal’s back-to-back fifty, Minister Dhaka lost to Chattogram Challengers by 30 runs. After batting for the target of 162 runs given by Chattogram, Dhaka lost all the wickets in 19.5 overs and collected 131 runs in total. Shariful Islam got four wickets and Nasum Ahmed got three wickets for Chattogram. Nasum won the man of the match award with three wickets for just 9 runs in 4 overs.
Dhaka’s experience team lose to Chattogram young team
Mohammad Shehzad and Tamim Iqbal duo got off to a great start as they had batted for the 162-run target set by Chattogram. Although Shehzad was out for a personal 9 (12) run, Tamim also got fifty in the second match. After playing an innings of 52 (45) with six boundaries and two sixes, Tamim was bowled out by Shariful Islam. But in one over, Shariful returned Tamim and Zahurul Islam and put Chattogram in the driver’s seat. After that, the rhythm fell in Dhaka. One batsman after another went back to the dressing room in Nasum Ahmed’s devastating bowling. In the death over, Shariful’s great bowling again ended the last hope of winning for the Dhaka team.
