[Gaming]The price of a 12kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder has risen by Tk48 due to a Tk4 increase in the per kg LPG pricing by the regulatory authority.
Current LPG Gas Price In Bangladesh
[Gaming]The price of a 12 kilogram LPG cylinder delivered by private operators has climbed to Tk1,439 from Tk1,391 last month, according to a new tariff order issued by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) on Sunday.
[Gaming]- In April, the price of LPG Gas per kg increased by Tk4.1, therefore 12kg would cost Tk1,439 in April.
- The price of reticulate LPG has increased to Tk116.70 per kg, while the price of autogas has remained stable at Tk67.02.
- The price of government-owned LPG has remained unchanged at Tk67.02.

In a virtual news briefing, BERC Chairman Md Abdul Jalil stated that the new per kg tariff will be mirrored across all cylinder sizes.
He stated that the new rate will take effect at 6 p.m. on April 3rd.
The increase comes amid soaring prices for everyday necessities as a result of global oil and food supply constraints resulting from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
[Gaming]When asked if the government has any intentions to subsidize LPG cylinders for customers, the BERC Chairman stated that the government presently has no plans to do so because the product is provided by private operators.
Meanwhile, the price of autogas (also known as LPG) for motor vehicles has risen from Tk64.78 to Tk67.02.
The price of centrally regulated reticulated LPG for big apartment dwellings has risen to Tk116.70 per kilogram.
The price of LPG Gas has been raised, according to Abdul Jalil, based on the Saudi Contract Price of Propane and Butane, the basic ingredient for LPG.
[Gaming]In March, the price of a ton of propane was $895, and the price of a ton of Butane was $920, but in April, the prices were $940 and $960, respectively.
According to Md Abdul Jalil, the BERC published its tariff, which put the per ton average price at $953.
However, owing to no change in the price of its raw materials, the government-owned 12.5 kilogram LPG Gas cylinders remain steady at Tk591.
